The Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) treats health information as special personal information. Cliniweb is built with that in mind, in how your information is collected and stored and in who can see it.
- Only your care team sees your record. Practice staff sign in with their own accounts, and access depends on their role.
- Every access is logged. An audit trail records who viewed or changed a record, and when.
- Nothing personal on public pages. Online booking never shows your details back. We only show a masked cellphone number or email address.
- Links that expire. Forms and check-ins use one-time links tied to your visit, and they stop working after they're used or expire.
- Encrypted in transit. Every page and form is served over HTTPS.
- You're asked first. We ask for your consent before storing new details, and you can ask your practice about the information they hold about you.
